Jazzmine Bay Trio – Le Telegraphe – Bhamdoun

The Jazzmine Bey Trio presents a wide range of rarely played Bebop to modern jazz tunes arranged for this rather unusual formation without a piano or guitar. The absence of a harmonic instrument opens space and freedom for the saxophone. Amongst the compositions are original tunes by its former piano player Bruno Paoli as well as French Bass icon Henry Texier and some references to Seamus Blake and Theolonius Monk.

Thomas Hornig has lived and worked as a musician and music educator in Beirut for nearly two decades. In 1994, Thomas was named Professor at Lebanon’s National Conservatory of Music. He is a Graduate of the Famous “Ecole Normale De Musique de Paris”

Ruedi Felder After exchanging peaceful and quiet Switzerland with rather chaotic Lebanon he picked up his bass again and hasn’t put it down ever since. He likes to play a variety of different styles of music from Jazz to Arabic and back.

AlO studied classical percussion in France in conservatory and jazz drum by himself. He played in Marseille, La Rochelle, Paris with Remy Decormeille, Denis Badault, Mauro Gargano, Yoni Zelnik… He has been living in Beirut for more than 4 years.
